Since 1993, L&M Swimming Club has been dedicated to helping children and families across Caterham, Woldingham, and now Chelsham, Chaldon, Oxted, Selsdon, and Biggin Hill develop strong swimming skills in a supportive, family-oriented environment.
Our mission is simple: To empower young swimmers with life-saving skills, confidence in the water, and joyful lifelong memories through expertly delivered lessons in a safe, nurturing environment.

Our Story: A Swimming Club Built on Passion and Purpose
Founded in 1993 by Lesley Ryland and Moira Brooks, L&M Swimming Club was born out of a shared love for swimming and a desire to offer something different: a personal, relationship-based swim school that understood the rhythm of family life.
From modest beginnings in Caterham and Woldingham, the club quickly gained traction through word of mouth, referrals, and a reputation for unmatched care and safety.
Through three decades of seasonal lessons, L&M has evolved with families—literally. Today, many of our swimmers are second-generation clients, the children of those we taught in our early years.
We now proudly serve families from Chelsham, Chaldon, Oxted, Selsdon, and Biggin Hill, with classes designed to meet every stage of childhood swimming—from toddlers to preteens, beginners to advanced.
